Studios a hop, skip and a jump from downtown

State-of-the-art, purpose-built sound stages at Docklands Studios Melbourne includes a 40,000 sq feet (3,700 sq metres) sound stage, with a 240,000 gallon (900,000 litre) water tank which is one of the largest in the southern hemisphere. The studios also house the world’s largest LED Volume screen, operated by NantStudios. It consists of more than 6,000 LED panels stacked 39ft (12m) high and 101ft (30.7m) wide. As well as a smaller screen measuring 26ft (8m) high and 68ft (21m) wide.

Your go to destination for ambitious screen projects

Victoria is a leading international creative partner, home to some of the world’s best screen creators. VSR grants of up to 10% of qualifying Victorian expenditure (QVE) can be combined with the Australian Government Offset programs, including the Location Offset, PDV Offset, Official Co-production and Producer Offset.

Eligibility

To qualify, your project must be fully financed and have genuine marketplace interest for commercial release or distribution. VicScreen also needs you to meet the following minimum spends in Victoria relating to your production activity:

  • AU$3,500,000 on physical production
  • AU$500,000 on post-production
  • AU$500,000 on VFX
  • AU$500,000 on animation
  • AU $500,000 on digital games development
