Leading post-production company, The Post Lounge (TPL), has announced a series of high-profile appointments, marking a significant step in its new global strategy. This strategy is built around a “creative first” philosophy, aiming to enhance the creative excellence and operational output that have driven TPL’s industry-leading position.

The company’s Managing Director, Kurt Royan, explains:

“TPL has always been a home for the best post-production talent, and we’re doubling down on that mission with these key appointments. Our creative team will be supported by world-class production and technical services, ensuring we continue to set the standard in the industry.”

New Global Leadership Roles

Among the most significant changes is the appointment of Georgia Woodward as Chief Operating Officer (COO) – a newly created role. Woodward joins with over a decade of leadership experience in TV, branded content, and digital media. In 2024, she was named one of Realscreen’s top 30 most influential figures in global content. As COO, Woodward will focus on driving the strategic growth of TPL while overseeing day-to-day operations. She says, “I’m thrilled to be joining such a dynamic group of companies with a clear entrepreneurial vision and a history of innovation.”

In another key move, Bronwyn Ketels has been promoted to the role of Head of Global Production. After three years as TPL’s General Manager, where she helped steer the company’s year-on-year growth, Ketels will now take on the company’s first international leadership role, reinforcing the group’s global ambitions.

Strengthening Creative and Technical Expertise

Dan Lake, co-founder and Executive Producer at Orange Entertainment Co. (OEC), has been appointed General Manager of TPL’s Sydney location. Lake, who has extensive experience in TV and film finance, development, and production, will continue his role at OEC alongside his new responsibilities at TPL, further bridging the two companies’ operations.

Brett Manson, an acclaimed industry colourist, joins TPL’s creative team as Senior Colourist. Having previously collaborated with TPL on numerous projects, Manson brings a combination of technical expertise, talent, and experience to elevate the company’s colour department. “Brett is the perfect fit to help us take our colour department to the next level,” says Royan.

Alongside Manson’s appointment, TPL has promoted three of its talented staff members to Junior Colourist positions: Marie Gatt (Queensland), Margaux Hemard (New South Wales), and Kale Elbourne (Victoria), continuing the company’s focus on nurturing homegrown talent.

Stuart Morton MPSE, an acclaimed sound designer with over 25 years of experience, remains in his position as Head of Sound. Morton’s leadership will continue to oversee the sound department across all TPL locations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality soundscapes for feature films and series.

Strategic Partnerships and Global Growth

TPL’s global expansion is further supported by strategic partnerships with VFX studio Resin and leading international post-production facility Company 3, allowing for seamless end-to-end workflows wherever the project may be.
