The brand-new thriller from NBCUniversal, All Her Fault, is currently filming at Docklands Studios Melbourne and on location across the city, with globally acclaimed Melbourne local Sarah Snook (Succession) in the lead role and renowned filmmaker Minkie Spiro (3 Body Problem, Downton Abbey, Dead to Me) directing.
Adapted from the bestselling novel by Andrea Mara, All Her Fault centres around Marissa Irvine (played by Emmy and two-time Golden Globe award winner Snook) who arrives to collect her son Milo from his first playdate only to find an unrecognizable woman answering the door. She isn’t the nanny. She doesn’t have Milo. And so, begins every parent’s worst nightmare.
Award-winning director Minkie Spiro is an executive producer on the series, alongside Snook, and will also direct a number of episodes.
“It is an absolute honour to be directing All Her Fault starring Sarah Snook in Melbourne with Carnival Films and our on the ground team at Matchbox, alongside our studio partners at Universal International Studios,” Spiro said. “Melbourne is an incredibly film friendly city brimming with amazing locations and immensely talented crew.”
“I feel so excited about being able to work in Melbourne again,” Sarah Snook added. “The industry we have here, across all departments of cast and crew, is world class. There’s always a can-do attitude, and I’m particularly impressed with the sustainability efforts our team on All Her Fault are making; showing we can lower our environmental impact without compromising on quality.”
Joining Snook in the cast are Dakota Fanning (Ripley, The Equalizer 3) and Jake Lacy (White Lotus), Abby Elliott (The Bear), Sophie Lillis (It) and Michael Peña (Unstoppable).
Megan Gallagher (Wolf, Suspicion) serves as writer, creator, and executive producer alongside executive producers Nigel Marchant, Gareth Neame and Joanna Strevens for Carnival Films (The Day of the Jackal, Lockerbie, Downton Abbey), Jennifer Gabler Rawlings and Christine Sacani, producer Terry Gould and associate producer, Andrea Mara.
Executive Vice President of Production at Universal Studio Group, Mark Binke said: “We’re delighted to be working with VicScreen again to further develop Victorian crew skills, particularly in the areas of virtual production and sustainability. The VicScreen attachment and work placement programs are an invaluable training tool. We would also like to acknowledge the Federal Government’s support through the new Location Offset, which makes it possible to bring projects like All Her Fault to Australia.”
All Her Fault is produced by Universal Content Production (UCP), Carnival Films and Matchbox Pictures and was attracted to Victoria through the Victorian Government’s Victorian Screen Incentive.
