Queensland’s post-production sector will get a major boost with the announcement of a new Post, Digital and VFX (PDV) Attraction Grant designed to attract high-end post-production work to the state.

The new grant is available to eligible productions that spend a minimum of $500,000 on Queensland PDV and offers a 10 per cent, uncapped rebate that can also be used in conjunction with Federal Government incentives.

“It also creates the right economic environment to attract major post-production companies to establish offices in our State, to build on and work with our existing local capability, and create significant jobs and economic opportunities for our screen industry,” said the Premier.

Ms Tracey Vieira, CEO Screen Queensland said the enhanced PDV grant will be a game changer for the local post-production sector.

“The new PDV grant will open doors and new business opportunities for our local post-production companies with major film and television content creators both in Australia and overseas,” Ms Vieira said.

“Screen Queensland will work closely with the Queensland post-production sector from visual effects, to sound post and everything in between, to make sure we work collaboratively to leverage this opportunity and maximise the publicity and marketing of our PDV grant worldwide,” said Ms Vieira.

The PDV grant is now open for applications via https://screenqueensland.com.au/production/post-digital-vfx/.
