Director George Miller shares his experience using Rising Sun Pictures’ (RSP) groundbreaking REVIZE™ technology on Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.
For this film, the brief was to ensure a seamless transition as the story evolves from young Furiosa to her adult self. RSP was tasked with preserving the child-like performance of Alyla Browne while introducing the recognisable facial features of Anya Taylor-Joy, maintaining continuity and authenticity throughout the film.
REVIZE™ blends machine learning with VFX methodologies and artistic expertise to deliver unparalleled results. What sets RSP’s innovation apart is their ability to precisely control the outcome, allowing for performance modifications with exceptional accuracy. This iterative, artist-driven workflow integrates seamlessly into familiar VFX tools while also being scalable—enabling high-volume, creatively driven shots per project.
The advancements of this technology are showcased in Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, but its impact extends far beyond. To date, RSP has applied REVIZE™ to over 26 projects and earned industry recognition, including:
🏆 Winner – 2024 Autodesk Design & Make Award for Accelerating Transformation in Media & Entertainment (REVIZE™ technology)
🏆 Winner – 2024 Women in Innovation Award (RSP’s President Jennie Zeiher for leading the charge on adopting machine learning at RSP with REVIZE™)
🎖 Nominee – 2025 VES Emerging Technology Award (REVIZE™ technology)
RSP continues to push the boundaries of innovation, shaping the future of visual effects.
