AUSFILM’S EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT OF INTERNATIONAL PRODUCTION, ERIN STAM ELECTED TO ASSOCIATION OF FILM COMMISSIONERS INTERNATIONAL BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Ausfilm’s Executive Vice President of International Production, Erin Stam, has been elected to serve on the board of directors of the Association of Film Commissioners International (AFCI) – the association representing film commission professionals around the globe. Ausfilm is the peak screen industry body that markets Australia as a production destination to the international screen market and is a member of AFCI.

Erin Stam is one of five new AFCI board members elected for a two-year term. Other new members on the 11-member board of directors are from Columbia, Ireland, Kenya and the UK. They join what will be the most geographically and culturally diverse board in AFCI’s 45-year history. The continuing members for 2021 represent film offices in Austria, Canada, the Netherlands, Norway and the United States.

“It is a great honour to have been elected to the AFCI Board and I look forward to working with my fellow film commissioners,” said Erin Stam.

“Now more than ever we need the world to be more connected and to support each other where we can. I’m ready to roll my sleeves up and work with this dynamic team of global experts.”

Erin leads the Ausfilm Los Angeles office with its headquarters based in Sydney, Australia. Erin’s focus is to continue to attract international productions to Australia, marketing Australia’s production tax incentives, promoting the country as a screen destination and matching Australian creative teams with US executives through Ausfilm’s B2B Connect program.

Erin has wide-ranging expertise across screen production in both the United States and Australia. She previously spearheaded development at two Australian state government screen agencies, Film Victoria in Melbourne and Screenwest in Perth. Prior to her work in Australia, Erin served as SVP of Production at Participant Media and Spyglass Entertainment.
